Residents have raised concerns regarding anti-social behaviour within Lordship Recreation Ground which impacts park users and the wider community. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will maintain targeted high-visibility patrols and work in partnership with Haringey Council and local stakeholders to identify those responsible, deter offending behaviour and address environmental factors contributing to the issue through problem-solving approaches.

Status Update

High-visibility proactive patrols will be conducted within Lordship Recreation Ground at key times identified through intelligence and community feedback to deter anti-social behaviour. Officers will actively disrupt offending behaviour and make use of appropriate Anti-Social Behaviour and Community Protection legislation, including warnings, Community Protection Notices and enforcement where necessary. Clear signage will be installed and maintained within the park to highlight the presence of a PSPO and outline prohibited behaviours. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will work jointly with Haringey Council, Parks Enforcement, and local community stakeholders to address environmental factors contributing to ASB, improve reporting, and support long-term problem-solving initiatives.

Ward Priority 3 – Theft and Theft from Person in the Turnpike Lane Area
Residents, commuters and local businesses have raised concerns regarding theft offences in the Turnpike Lane area, including theft from person and other opportunistic thefts. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will deliver intelligence-led patrols, work alongside local businesses and partners, and pursue enforcement and prevention opportunities to deter offending and reduce opportunities for theft.

Status Update

Intelligence-led high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols will be conducted in the Turnpike Lane area at peak times to deter theft and theft from person offences and identify repeat offenders. Officers will actively target known suspects and hotspot locations, utilising stop and search and other lawful powers where appropriate to disrupt criminal activity. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will work in partnership with local businesses, transport hubs and stakeholders to share information, support crime prevention initiatives and improve guardianship. Engagement activity will also be carried out to raise public awareness around personal safety and reduce opportunities for theft through targeted crime prevention advice.

Ward Priority 2 – Anti-Social Behaviour, Drug Activity and Vehicle-Related Concerns on the Broadwater Farm Estate
Residents have raised ongoing concerns regarding anti-social behaviour across the Broadwater Farm Estate, including suspected drug dealing and drug use in communal areas. Additional concerns have also been raised regarding vehicles on the estate, including obstructive parking, abandoned vehicles and vehicles suspected to be stolen or linked to criminal activity being left in residential areas. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will undertake targeted patrol activity, develop intelligence regarding those involved and work closely with housing providers and partners including Haringey Council to address these issues through enforcement and longer-term problem-solving measures.

Regular vehicle checks will be carried out across the estate to identify abandoned, obstructive or suspected stolen vehicles, working in partnership with relevant agencies to take appropriate action. The Safer Neighbourhood Team will work jointly with Haringey Council, housing providers and partner agencies to address environmental issues, improve information sharing and deliver coordinated, long-term problem-solving activity.
